In the few decades there has been a tremendous change in many of the career fields.  Due to the rapid development of the technology and incorporation of the technology in the various fields has given a scope to many of the careers to go to the next level.  Banking field is one of it where a lot of changes have taken place.  The manual work of the Banks is now done by the various new technology and software’s.  Banking field is one of the fastest growing fields along with IT in India.  Because of the Rural Banking the banks are expanding their business and for the expulsion they need a lot of skilled Human Recourses.  There are plenty of career opportunities for the students of different backgrounds in the Banking field.  A student completing his graduation degree from any of the faculty is eligible to apply for the various Banks posts.  Now the eligibility for Bank exams has become compulsory to be a graduate from commerce, Arts or Science.  A student who wishes to join the public sector Banks they have to give the exam conducted by the IBPS for the posts like clerk, PO or specialist officer.  On qualifying the exam a student is appointed for the post to which he has applied for.  If you want to join the private sector Banks you can join the Private Banks by applying and qualifying the entrance exam individually.  If you feel to make a career in the SBI Bank for that purpose you have to apply to the SBI Banks exam which is separately conducted by SBI.
