I can certainly guide you through the career prospects of fashion designing and photography. But before I go on, may I ask you if you have had a healthy chat with your daughter, why she is interested in fashion designing and photography? Lots of students especially girls are attracted to fashion designing just because of the glamour attached to this industry. I suggest you talk to your daughter about what she envisions to become in future. This attraction to fashion industry may be lost after a couple of years and I don't want her to regret why she din't consider other options at an early stage.

Nevertheless this is an exciting and colorful industry. The key to achieve success in this industry is 'creativity' and nothing else. It is required of your daughter to be creative in her designing works. She may consider a BSc Fashion designing course. Completing the degree, she can be attached to fashion studios or fashion designers and work for them. After a couple of years work experience, she could start her own studio. But starting an own studio requires her success in her career path that she will have carried all along. National Institute of Fashion Technology is highly reputable in India and they have good internship opportunities for students studying at their university in degree level. NIFT is located in Hyderabad and Chennai. You may visit their website and send her BSc application form during January- May months while she is studying 12th standard.

Alternatively, a career in photography is exciting but it involves huge investment and check yourself if you are ready to fund her requirements. It also involves a lot of travelling and your daughter should be a person to enjoy travel and meet new people on her assignments. there are universities offering photography course in India at Diploma level but she can consider studying abroad as degree level courses in photography are available. London and France are top destinations for this course.
