I took admission in a private college , they collected all my original documents and due to some reasons I couldn't complete my studies, I asked them for my documents now they are saying to submit the full fees with fine and all needless to say I haven't enough money to pay them and get my documents. What to do now ?? applying for duplicate documents requires a F.I.R. which states my documents are being lost. Would it be a problem to file one or what to do..

The situation in which you are is a very difficult and tiring situation.
Since it is a private college, they do not fall into any of the government jurisdiction, though they need approval of UGC and other bodies to perform under the rights to give education.
Please check the college website for their recognition.
If they are not registered with UGC, then you can directly file a complaint against them with the UGC board.
Or else, since they are your documents, and also it is your wish if you wish to continue with your education or not.No college can force you in this regards.
So if they are forcing you for fees and fine, you can directly approach the police and file a complaint, instead of applying for a duplicate copy.
Take help of the local bodies, like the area government servants if they can help you then you may not need to approach the police.
But please note that, do not loose hope. Fight for your rights with the help of the right authorities.
