The Indian Space Research Organisation is India's national space agency, based in Bengaluru. It is run by the Department of Space (DOS), which is directly directed by India's Prime Minister, and the Chairman of ISRO also serves as the executive of DOS. ISRO is India's major space agency, responsible for space-based applications, space exploration, and the development of associated technology. It is one of only six government space organizations in the world with complete launch capability, cryogenic engines, the ability to launch extra-terrestrial missions, and the ability to manage vast fleets of artificial satellites.
It is administered by the Department of Space, which reports directly to India's Prime Minister, and the chairman of ISRO also acts as the executive of DOS. ISRO was established in 1969 with the mission of creating and using space technology for national development, as well as undertaking planetary exploration and space science research. ISRO superseded INCOSPAR (Indian National Committee for Space Research), which was founded in 1962 by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister, and physicist Vikram Sarabhai, two of the country's founding fathers of the Indian space program.
To become a scientist in ISRO you have to have the minimum qualification required by ISRO like
· You can only apply for ISRO if you have earned a first-class degree in BE/BTech with a minimum aggregate of 65 percent or a CGPA of 6.84.
Here's one of the three examinations you may take after Class 12 to get into ISRO:
