Choosing a field as a career is an essential decision and once a profession is chosen, no looking back.

Why dont you try your hand in both the profession simultaneously. It will be a guidance for you to introspect as to where exactly your strength lies.

Since you are still studying, why dont you start with teaching students like private tutions, preferably school going kids.
Your skills in teaching will be polished and at the same time, you would be able to judge your potentials of becoming a professor in the future.

Another option is, finish your Graduation, get into a job and at the same time try in as a guest lecturer in Junior colleges.
In that way again you would know your potentials.

Choosing teaching and technical corporate job is definitely a tricky decision to make.

Teaching is definitely a good field, however you must have the inner most feeling and capability to become a good teacher. If you are academically very sound, then both teaching and technical field will suit you most.

Why don't you think for jobs in Research & Development field? This can be a very good proposition.

In teaching, you need to enter into top Institutes where you will get a chance and freedom to do research as well as teaching. For this you will have to appear for NET exam of UGC after Masters in Engineering.
Therefore, whether you wish to go to teaching or technical field, a post graduation is the most recommended.
After PG, you will have options open for deciding whether it is teaching or only technical field jobs.
