Apart from studying medicine you can do B.Pharmacy , B.Sc- M.Sc Biotechnology, M.Sc Clinical Research , MBA Hospital Management after doing graduation in any of the above mentioned courses. If you are keen to get into teaching / research , You can also study Microbiology / Environmental Science /Genetics / Forestry / Botany / Zoology / Horticulture. You can also study Forensic Science . Dear student, PCB is a very demanding group and I am glad you have chosen it in your school level. I shall describe the courses you could do with these subjects at college level. However I assume you are not studying Maths as you have not indicated it and therefore I am ignoring Engineering courses in my description. As you may know, studying Maths at 12th level can qualify you to studying Engineering degrees otherwise you can only learn three year based arts and sciences courses.

Physics: You can study BSc Physics, Astrophysics.
After the BSc, you may do MSc and then a PhD in Physics.
Chemistry: You can study BSc Chemistry, Bio chemistry, Bio organic chemistry, Pharmacy science
After the BSc you may then do an MSc and finally a PhD in Chemistry.
Medicine: You can study professional courses in medicine like the MBBS, BDS, BAMS Bachelor of ayurvedic medicine and surgery, BHMS Bachelor of homeopathy medicine and surgery.
After the MBBS, you may do MS/ MD; after the BDS you can do the MDS and specialist surgery. After the BAMS you can study MAMS or the MS/MD. After the BHMS, you can study MHMS or MS/ MD.
Biology: With a background in Biology at your school level, you can study BSc Biology, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Industrial biotechnology, medical biotechnology, medical lab technology, optometry, environmental science, environmental biotechnology, food science, nutrition and dietitics, food and nutrition, micro biology, molecular biology, plant biotechnology, animal biotechnology, horticulture, sericulture, forestry science and genetics.
Similarly after the bachelorrs, you can do MSc then an MPhil and finally the PhD in related subject.
The above courses could be studied only with the PCB background in school.

However there are certain courses that you may do even with the PCB background in school and they are BA History, Archealogy, Geography, Arts, Communications, Media and communications, English, English literature, Journalism, Visual communications, Political science, Sociology, Psychology with Clinical psychology or applied psychology like Industrial psychology or Organizational psychology, Counselling psychology, Bachelor of social work, fashion designing, interior designing, furniture designing, catering technology, hospitality management, Bachelor of business administration (BBA), Bachelor of business management (BBM) and finally the tourism management.

Hi Sahil,

You have many options for you after completion of your 12th with Biology. You can continue your education in the medical field by pursuing courses like MBBS, BDS, BHMS, etc. for studying these courses from top medical colleges at reasonable cost you should compete for entrance examinations like AIPMT, State PMT, AIIMS, etc.
You can also go for technical field if you have interest the same. Here you will have the option of Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemical engineering all these also have nice scope.

  • Sc Zoology.
