Civil Services as a career has always being the first choice of the students. Many students these days has been aspiring to make a  career in the Civil Service. Earlier due to the lack of awareness about the Civil Services very few students used to think to make a career in the Civil Services. Students who wish to serve the society for them Civil Service is always a good career option to go for. Civil Service exams are conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year. These exams are also called as the UPSC exams. There are various posts that are offered under the UPSC exam like IAS, IPS, IFS, IES etc. All these posts are considered as the Class I officer post and hence they come under the central government.

Indian Administrative Services i.e IAS is one of the great post and in order to make a career as IAS one should be very good at Decision Making, Should have a good Leadership qualities, Good at the Human Resource handling.

While making a career as IAS no one asks you the percentage even an average student can apply for the exam. A student who has completed a graduation degree from a recognized university from any stream is eligible to apply for the exam.

There is age criteria and restrictions on the No. of attempts for the exam which are as follows-

  1. General Candidate- Age 20 to 32 years – 4 attempts
  2. OBC Candidate- Age 20 to 35 Years- 7 Attempts
  3. SC/ST candidate- Age 20 to 37 years- No restriction for the attempts till the cross the upper age limit as mentioned in the criteria.
