If you are getting your desired branch in good college of GGSIPU then it will be better to take admission in it.
Coz 1year drop is not that much successful as you have to cover 2 year syllabus in 1 year and if you see the marks of those who drop for 1 year you will find that their marks just increased by 20–35 marks generally.
so
I will suggest you to go and grab this opportunity.
