Choice of a career is a personal choice, and no one should be enforcing the choice on you.
Since you are at a Dilemma right now, I would suggests you to undergo an Aptitude tests that will point out your strengths, your potentials and help you make a choice.
Apart from the tests, I would also recommend Self Introspection. No one knows you better than you yourself. Evaluate your own personality, what and where your interests lies, what are your hobbies, will you be comfortable pursuing a career in the field of your hobby etc.
