Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission to Symbiosis institutes. The SET exam is a gateway for admissions to undergraduate courses such as Management, Law, Engineering, Economics, Mass Communication, Computer Studies and Liberal Arts. Earlier, the exam was also conducted for B.Sc Culinary Arts but this exam was scrapped in the year 2021 for this course. The SET exam 2024 application form, admit card and results will be available online only and there will be no provision for an offline application process. 

Overview

Set Exam

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission held the Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test 2023 in offline mode on August 27, 2023. The evaluation of OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheets will take at least four weeks. Following that, the MP SET 2023 results will be officially declared as a scorecard, and applicants will be able to check their qualifying status by providing the login credentials.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

    • Master’s degree or equivalent degree from a recognized university/institution in the subject for which the candidate is appearing for the exam.
    • Candidates who are in the final year of their Master’s degree program and have appeared for their final year/semester examination are also eligible to apply.

Marks:

    • General category candidates must have a minimum of 55% marks in their Master’s degree.
    • SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in their Master’s degree.

Age Limit:

There is no age limit for appearing in the SET exam.

Nationality:

Indian nationals are eligible to apply for the SET exam.

Additional Eligibility Criteria for Specific Subjects:

  • For some subjects, there may be additional eligibility criteria. For example, candidates appearing for the SET exam in Mathematics must have studied Mathematics at the undergraduate level.

Relaxation in Eligibility Criteria:

  • There is a relaxation of 5% in marks for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.
  • Candidates who have qualified for the UGC/CSIR JRF Fellowship or UGC NET are also eligible to apply for the SET exam.
