There’s no denying that learning new skills can help you advance in your profession…However, while most of us are aware of the numerous advantages of learning, not everyone has the time – or the financial means – to follow through and make it a part of our daily lives. Here are some of our favorite ways to earn money while you study to help you find a way to fit studying around your finances:

Apprenticeships

If you want to start a new career, an apprenticeship may be the way to go. It’s not only a terrific method to gain experience and get your foot in the door with a firm, but it’s also a great way to earn a steady income while you learn. There are many various sorts of apprenticeships to select from (depending on your past experience) and, contrary to common belief, they are offered in almost every industry – from health and beauty to IT and engineering. So, no matter what business you work in or your age, an apprenticeship may be the best solution for you.

Is Work From Home Getting On Your Nerve?

Internships

Most internships pay at least the National Minimum Wage, particularly if you’re working as a worker. They also don’t require a long-term commitment to the course, unlike apprenticeships. So, even if your current employment isn’t working out, you’ll be able to locate a new internship without having to worry about losing any credits toward your degree. Similarly, some work placements and work experience roles compensate you for your time while also allowing you to learn the ropes of a new job. Simply double-check this whenever you apply, even if it’s simply to make sure your expenses are covered.

Flexi-Time

When it comes to studying, you don’t always have to start at the beginning. In reality, as long as you can set aside some time to keep up with your studies, you might stay in your current position. One approach is to inquire with your employer about working more flexible hours (also known as “flexi time”).Working fewer hours (e.g., halving lunch breaks), starting and finishing earlier, or even working from home during the week to reduce your commute are all options. Many employers are surprisingly tolerant these days, particularly if you can demonstrate that the adjustments will improve your morale, productivity, and work-life balance. And will your experience be beneficial to the company? It’s almost a foregone conclusion.

Apps

Perhaps you already have the time to learn something new. All you have to do now is start putting it to better use. In this instance, technology has become your new best buddy. For example, there are a variety of applications available that can help you increase your knowledge of a new field or perhaps give you the confidence you need to pursue your studies more seriously. On your commute, you could learn to code, or during your lunch break, you could study a new language. Whatever it is, even five or ten minutes a day could have a significant effect.

Online education

Why not try taking an online course if you have a bit more time to learn? Aside from being significantly less expensive and time-intensive than you may assume, many of them also result in legitimate qualifications that can help you advance in your profession. They can all be studied at your own pace because they are offered as distance learning courses rather than classroom courses, allowing you to fit them around your present responsibilities. That way, you can keep your normal job while learning a new skill that could help you further your career.

Struggling To Manage Work From Home ?

Freelancing

So, you’ve amassed a respectable set of abilities. Working as a freelancer, contractor or consultant allows you to offer your knowledge and experience without having to commit to a traditional 9-to-5 job. And, because you’ll be in charge of your own workload, you’ll have even more time to devote to your course. The best thing is that your sporadic revenue will effectively allow you to fund yourself. If you still require a regular source of income, you may combine it with a well-paid part-time job.
