If you live in India, then you know that Mental Health is something that is a hoax or something that simply does not exist. Weird right? But it’s true! People in our country think that there is no such thing as a mental disorder. They would never believe it. Is it Taboo???

Mental Health is a cognitive behavior. It is all about human behavior. It includes the way they think, their way of speaking, their behavior, how they feel. When a person behaves differently in a situation, it is then called a “mental disorder”.

Mental health plays a crucial role in everyone’s life. When you don’t have mental peace, you can go into depression, feel stressed, or anxiety which we will explain later on. It can not only affect your physical appearance but also your emotional stability. I have heard people saying, she’s smiling she can’t be depressed! That’s not true. Depression can come in many different forms. Not all the people who are smiling are happy. According to the National Alliance on mental illness, 1 in 5 adults experiences mental health problems each year. In 2017, a study conducted by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), 11.2 million adults in the U.S., or about 4.5% of the adults, had a severe psychological condition.

They start feeling that they are all alone, but let me tell you, it’s all a part of life. Healing is a process that takes time. There will be a lot of aspects in your life that can break you as a person but always remember that it takes patience and trust in oneself to conquer all the negativity and overcome any disorders.
