After Polytechnic, if your or your family condition demands you to work, then finding a job based on your Diploma Engineering is recommended. However, if this is not the case, then definitely getting yourself admitted to the degree course of engineering is highly recommended and would be very beneficial. It appears that you are looking for Diploma courses after 12th.
However, there are many diploma courses available after 12th. You have not mentioned which stream 12th have you appeared in. Diploma also depends on the 12th stream you have passed.
If you can let me know the details, then I would definitely suggest you Diploma courses which are of one year or two years duration.
Hope you are aware that you are eligible to take a lateral entry into the 2nd year of B.Tech.
What you can do is, shortlist few colleges, and apply to those colleges in the stream you wish to specialise as a graduate. Send in your application, with all the necessary documents and await the results.
