What is NTA JEE Main :

NTA JEE Main is a national level engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into undergraduate Undergraduate Engineering programs in various Colleges across India. The exam is conducted twice a year, in January and April. The exam is of 3 hours duration and consists of multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The exam is conducted in online mode, and the scores obtained in the exam are used for admission into various Engineering Colleges engineering colleges in India.

NTA JEE Main Eligibility :

To be eligible to appear for the NTA JEE Main exam, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• Age Limit : There is no age limit to appear for the JEE Main exam.
• Educational Qualification : For B.E/B.Tech courses, candidates must have passed their class 12th or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject. They must have scored at least 75% marks in their class 12th board exams or should be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.
• For B.Arch courses, candidates must have passed their class 12th or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. They must have scored at least 50% marks in their class 12th board exams.
• For B.Planning courses, candidates must have passed their class 12th or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. They must have scored at least 50% marks in aggregate in their class 12th board exams.
• Number of Attempts : Candidates can appear for JEE Main exam a maximum of 4 times in consecutive years.

JEE Advanced :

After cracking the JEE Main exam, candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can appear for the JEE Advanced exam.

• JEE Advanced is the next level of the Engineering Entrance Exam and is conducted by one of the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) on a rotational basis.
• To be eligible for JEE Advanced, a candidate must rank among the top 2.5 lakh successful candidates in the JEE Main exam.
