The better option is CSIR UGC NET exam if you apply with the subject Physical Sciences. This exam is also conducted for those who want to become lecturer, research fellow,professors and associates in the India' rel="nofollow"s top reputed colleges.
But make sure that if you want to apply for Junior Research Fellowship then your age must not exceed 28 years. For Assistant Professor there are no boundation on age.
The basic requirement to apply for the exam is that you should have at least 55% aggregate marks in post graduation.
