This is the existing confusion for all students who have taken the 12th Science stream.
Both the professions are quite lucrative.But mind you these days getting a job in both the fields is extremely difficult, since there are many in a lot. What is something different in you that you must be employed.
As far as engineering is concerned it is a 4 years course. Getting a job after Graduation is difficult these days unless you are at the top level. Due to the lack of employment opportunities engineers opt for an MBA program this year.
Also one needs different potentials in the two streams.eg. A doctor needs good communication skills and needs to be empathetic, whereas an engineer would need good hands on or motor skills.rather than communication skill.
For you to choose between the 2 streams, it would be best if you could undergo an Aptitude tests that would point out your potentials and help you decide accurately.
