To start with let me first introduce myself. I am working as financial analyst in a private company and I am having more than three years of experience in the same field, I would like to share the above video in the context of a typical day of a security analyst.
In the above video you can see what and all actually the security analyst is required to do and what is a day to day working of a security analyst.
More or less it includes a huge range of roles and responsibilities. He/she needs to work in all spehers as mentioned below:
  • Collecting Information: Main work lies in gathering information with various resources available, internal or external
  • Working with systems: more likely work isrelatedto computerstems,software,hardware, programs etc.
  • Analysis of Information:after the data is collected, they need to do analysis of the collected data.
  • Reports: they also need to generate appropriate reports based on the analysis and findings.
  • Share the information: At times it is required to share all the reports and findings with others.
  • Compliance: they need to see and check in regular basis, all standards are maintained and are in compliance.
  • Monitoring: it is a very important part of analyst, they need to monitor on regular basis everything
  • Updating: they need to be updated with technology and always improve their skills
  • Better inter personal skill: They need to maintain a good relation with everyone for a better working culture and condition
  • To provide training at time about something needed like software, hardware's programming etc.
  • at times keeping documents and records of everything done for future reference and queries in case same problems came across.
  • Taking decisions and solving problems efficiently is also a key part of a analyst job
  • creative and innovative thinking and ideas
