I live in Delhi and chandigarh is obviously near to my place. But i need to make a decision regarding this based on the reputation of the institution and its placements. Both institutions are comparable, hence the reason of my confusion.Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

I am not clear about your two choices. Are both offer dual degree program?
As I understand you have two choices: (1) BE/BTech and (2) Dual Degree program at IIIT Allahabad.
If your career goal is to to MTech anyway, then go for dual degree program. IIIT Allahabad has good faculty for IT, infrastructure, and placement records too.
PEC can be certainly good choice for single course.

If I am not wrong, you were the one who had asked about the dual degree course from IIT Allahabad.
As the counselor above has rightly pointed out that Allahabad has the course you were looking out for, whereas CSE Chandigarh does not have the dual option.
So choose accordingly.
Another request to you would be to get in touch with the alumni of IIT Allahabad student and check on their placement record to get a clear picture.
If M.Tech is your goal later in future, then do opt for the dual course. But in-case if you wish to have experience in the industry and then think of masters, then CSE is a better option.Since the time you complete your Graduation, industry demands as well as there may be additions to the courses in the market, which if you follow will help you progress in your career.
Though its confusing, you know what you aim for and follow that. Do not have double thoughts.
