Hello Anshuman ,

You have asked aquery of much importance....,well to be on the point, as per the newly defined formula by MHRD on their official website, the final JEE Mains qualifying result and merit list is derived by considering 40 percent of class 12th marks with 60 percent of JEE mains score. In addition to that you have to have minimum 50% aggregate with all the five subjects passed.

Now lets focus on you as an engineer , you need to have basic understanding of the subjects to apply it in real world situationand most of the companies do prefer a candidate with a good academic record. I believe if you are a keen learner, focused and goal oriented person you will definitely be able to crystallize your aspirations.Your passion and hard work can compensate to your lack of qualification to some extent.., but its better not to start anything with diffidence.

A good understanding of strengths and improvement areas can help you to know where you need to focus so as to improve your performance in class 12th itself. Sometimes there are internal factors like lack of clear idea, concentration, interest, motivation, stress, habits etc. and extrinsic factors likeunsupportive environment, distraction etc. which actually hinders the talent inside.

Check the official website and go through the syllabus link , it will give you a brief idea on what topics to study and how to study and will also motivate you to focus on your class 12th preparations and keep your preparations side by side.

Talk to your teachers, parents and others who can help you out with this, take your self assessment with tried and tested tool over here, start off with enthusiasm and try to sustain it. It will take you to your desired goal. By the way, good things come to those who work for it..

All the best..
