Hi Meraj,

You have a good set of experience in the industry and are at a better position to decide which certifications are needed in the industry.

Since you have done a Diploma in IT, a graduation is a must. B.Sc IT seems a better option, going in sync with your qualification.
But in-case if you are interested in the overall process meaning application, software development and troubleshooting BCA is recommended.

A part-time graduation or rather correspondence is recommended, because leaving a job at this stage to consider Graduation would term you as fresher once you complete your Graduation.

Just a suggestion, you could also think of Project management a part of the IT industry and very much in demand.

Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck..........

Dear Aspirant,

BCA would be best suited to you.

Based on your experience, you can also appear for PMP Certification from PMI, USA. www.pmi.org.in

Best wishes

Dear Aspirant,

Thanks for writing to www.career guide.com!

Rather than doing short term courses, doing graduate course is recommended. Since you have considerable work experience, you can do graduate course through correspondence.

Well, choosing right course is very important. If you are interested in research and programming then BSc IT is suitable.

If you are into applications, information management, networking etc then BCA is more preferable.

Looking at your work experience, I assume you are into applications and therefore BCA is suitable. As suggested by two other career experts, I too recommend BCA.

However, choice is yours. Take up the course based on your career vision.

Wish you best luck with your career,
