Most Lucrative Jobs and Qualification-

  • Professor- Ph.D and Post-Doctoral Experience, NET Qualification
  • Scientist- M.Sc., Ph.D.
  • Group Leader- Ph.D.
  • Manager R&D- Ph.D., MBA
  • Botanist- M.Sc. Botany, Ph.D.
  • Wild-Life Biologist- M.Sc.
  • Indian Forest Service- B.Sc. with UPSC Exam
  • Marine Biologist- M.Sc., Diploma
  • Agriculture Officer- B.Sc. (Ag.)

These are some most lucrative jobs. But with prestige the qualification for these jobs are very high.
You need to have at least a Ph.D. to succeed in the field and to get into higher positions. As the role and responsibilities for above mentioned posts are very high. So, one should be trained with sound academics and practical training for getting hired to these positions. Often a post-doctoral qualification and experience from a state of art laboratory works as plus for these positions.
SO work hard to attain the above qualifications and posts.

Dear Aspirant, there are any jobs, which suits a biology background person. You have not mentied your educational qualifiation. Based on the the qualification, a person gets a job of biologist. A biologist has so many sub disciplines, such as Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Agriculture (ehich further has many biology subjects such as; agronomy, plane breeding, palnt pathology, nematology etc). All these subjects have lots of lucrative job opportunities.
In your question you have not mentioed the meaning of lucarative, it could be a decent job with career satisfaction or it may be from economy point of view.
To get a lucartive job as a biologist in government sector (universities, institutes, forest department, agriculture department) and in private sector one should possess minimum masters degree (MSc or Mtech), if you are holding a doctoral degree that will be musch better,
In india the basic qualification to get a job in biology field is MSc or MTech. One the basis of this degree you are eligible for the post of Senior Resrch Fellow, Junior Research Fellow, Lecturer and Assist. Professor. Even for the position of Lecturer and Assistant Proofessor the essential degree is PhD.
Therefore, to qualify for the interview, one must also have NET certificate besides holding degree of MSc and PhD.
THe starting salary for an Assistant Professor in University/Institute is 15600-39100 plus 5400 AGP.
In private sector, depending upon company, one may get a starting salary of of Rs 8-12 lakh per annum. But in any filed if you want to make an entry, you should have some experience and required qualifications.
The required qualification in university and institute means, the number of research papers, students guided, research projects handled, books to your credit.
As a biologist the more lucarative posts are in western hemisphere and in Gulf Countries. Here you can satify your acdemic desire as well as monetry aspects. But one thing keep in mind that out side INdia, no job is permanent. THe job is contractual which is reneable yearly or for more periods based on mutual concent. Again, here the critera for entry in government and private sector is MSC with PhD. If you possess a degree of MSc or PhD from western universities, then you have more chances to get entry there.
Good luck
