There are many web-based resources for learning the language such as Duolingo (free) and Memrise, which offer interactive courses to learn grammar, vocabulary or just chat with others who speak your new language. These sites allow you to type in a word or phrase and it will give you a translation into another language – perfect if your reading is still not at an advanced level! Strategy 3: Listen to Podcasts
Podcasts are a great way to improve your listening skills and learn about new topics. There are many podcasts available for free on the internet which means you’ll never have an excuse not to practice! Learn from leading experts, TED Talks, or even musicians with different accents that can be found just by searching “podcast” on Spotify or iTunes. Drawing out words while speaking aloud also helps make pronunciation easier when learning a language so try these tricks next time you listen! Find people with who you can speak and ask them about your mistakes if they notice any so that you can work on them as soon as possible!

Read books in English when you are not yet comfortable enough to read them silently. It’s difficult but it will provide an excellent way of practising comprehension and fluency without feeling self-conscious about sounding like an idiot! It is difficult to learn without actually using what you have learned, which is why it’s a good idea to find opportunities where you can speak in English!
