So here are a few signs that may help you identify the same. So let’s get started.

issues of anxiety

Emotional Fluctuations in a student

If you are suffering from anxiety then you may also relate to a lot of emotional fluctuations within yourself. For example, you may feel irritated over petty issues and may overreact a lot. It may happen that you start thinking a lot about the same issue which leads to a lack of concentration or difficulty in concentrating. You may get very excited while dealing with certain circumstances that you face in student life. Suppose you have a performance and may get super nervous that you ruin your entire performance. Basically emotional changes are associated with a lack of confidence, nervousness, extreme behaviors which may be a sign that you are suffering from anxiety issues.

Changes in social life

This is a major sign that you may be suffering from anxiety issues. Social life plays a huge role in a student’s life and sort of has an impact on their mental health too, be it good or bad. But when it comes to students suffering from anxiety, they may try to isolate themselves from social activities. They may stop interacting with everyone or make excuses to cancel plans with others. They may tend to spend the entire day alone. This behavior definitely signifies that you are suffering from anxiety. Though if you are busy with other work and isolating yourself for the same then that doesn’t count in this category.

Changes in health

We all know that detoriation in mental health also has an impact on our health. If a student suffers from anxiety then they may suffer from health-related issues such as weight loss, loss is appetite, nauseatic feeling, over sweating, tiredness, and a lot more. Though these signs are related to many other things it may be possible that you are suffering from anxiety.

Changes in sleep schedule

This is one of the major reasons for suffering from anxiety issues. You may find this weird but it’s true. Sleep plays a crucial role in maintaining both mental and physical health. Though I’ve already mentioned this category in my previous articles if you are reading my articles for the first time then let me repeat it for you again. It’s necessary for our brain to get a rest of 6 to 7 hours of sleep during the night to get proper nourishment and energy. On the other hand, our body provides the healing mechanism during night time. So it’s very necessary for us to get proper sleep at night. But what we mostly see is that people are getting habituated to staying awake at night and getting up early in the morning without getting enough sleep or waking up late in the morning, thereby leading to an unhealthy lifestyle. So these changes in sleep schedule may lead to suffering from insomnia, getting nightmares, even may face health deteriorations.

Poor performance in studies

I’ve seen a lot of students suffering from anxiety due to this particular reason. Well, there are a lot of students who are concerned about their studies but not able to perform according to their expectations. Or even the students who don’t make much effort to get good grades may also suffer from anxiety issues. In the latter situation, I would like to say that please try to start working on the syllabus, starting definitely with small steps. And those who are unable to utilize their efforts, please don’t lose hope. Things take time, you need to stay calm and give your best every time, even if you fail. And it doesn’t matter if other’s judge you because you would be able to clarify to yourself that you are giving your best.

Experiencing Panic Attacks

This is a clear sign that you are facing anxiety issues. Though the degree of panic attacks may vary from one individual to another. For example, you may start over sweating or you may have shivering or tremors in your body. Other signs of a panic attack may also include upset stomach, nauseated feeling, chest pain, over excitement, nervousness, dizziness, numb feeling, and a lot more. And the worst fact about panic attacks is that it’s quite difficult to control and can happen anywhere and everywhere.

So here we come to the conclusion of the articles. We’ve mentioned a few signs which may reveal that a student might be suffering from anxiety disorders. Hope you find this article helpful.
