Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), is a public state university located in Haringhata, West Bengal, India. It is funded completely by the Government of West Bengal. It was established in 2001 by the West Bengal legislature.

MAKAUT Overall ranking by NIRF is 151 out of 200 colleges in India in 2021. MAKAUT B.Tech ranking by NIRF is 101 out of 200 colleges in India in 2023 and it was 201 out of 300 colleges in India in 2022.
The university has not released the overall placement statistics for the year 2023. However, the placement report and NIRF report is available on the official website. As per placement record 2022, ovearll 85 students were placed and one student opted for higher studies during MAKAUT placement 2022. According to the placement data 2022, four MBA students and one BCA student were placed in 2022.
According to the annual report 2021, the highest package offered was INR 19 LPA and average package offered was INR 4 LPA by TCS during Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology placement 2022, respectively.
