The typical day of a Chartered Accountant is very busy. It brings in many tasks and activities, which remain more or less the same. Below are the details.

  • First thing they do at office is to check the emails and voicemails. They have to respond to all of them quickly.
  • They either arrange a meeting with the client or visit to the client's site. The meeting also involves managers and the discussions take place at length on the various aspects of the project.
  • Post client meeting, they discuss the work and agenda with auditors and analysts in order to ensure the right management of the work. They also review the major accounting related issues that need to be resolved as early as possible.
  • They start their work and maintain the records and factbook of all the activities they are doing.
  • They send a memo to the management about the work.
  • They also assist senior leadership in planning new activities and designing the processes.
  • Sometimes they work with more than one client at a time. So, there are multiple client meetings in a day.
  • They take internal training sessions to help their fellow workers in effectively contributing to the project.
