Hello Lalit,

IAS exam is conducted by the UPSC every year for various posts including IAS/IFS/IPS and other central services of group A and B. The Procedure is simple that anyone with an academic degree from a recognized university within prescribed age limit can appear for this examination. Lalit, if you have completed your graduation or even if you are in the final year of the degree course, you can appear for the IAS exam.

The UPSC publishes the notification for filling up the application forms on the predetermined dates. The Exam Calendar for a concerned year gets published well before in advance on its websites (www.upsc.gov.in and www.upsconline.nic.in ) and in the Employment Newspaper. You will find a link on official websites of the UPSC where you have to fill up the application form online. the fee will be only 100/- rupees except for the candidates under the category. The fee will be only 100/- rupees except for the candidates under the category such as PH/SC/ST and Female candidates for whom the fee is exempted. The exam will be held in three stages – The Prelims, the Mains, and the Personality Test. This year (2017) the exam has been scheduled on the following dates:-

  • The Notification – 22nd February 2017
  • The last date for application – 17th March2017
  • CSE-Preliminary Exam – 18th July 2017
  • CSE-Mains Exam – 28th October 2017

Dear Aspirant, You have to start your preparation as soon as possible as this exam demands more of you to put in place. Read the syllabus which will be published in the notification, then you will come to realize about what to read and what not. Many candidates appear in the CSE but very few, say one thousand among around four lakhs, get selected. Only appearing in the exam doesn’t make sense so you need to get command over all the syllabus and that will only happen when you will be studying hard with proper guidance.
Lalit, here at CareerGuide you can approach the Experts for guidance and they will be guiding you throughout. The CareerGuide has assisted many such aspirants like you successfully. Hope, you also will be one among those who got succeeded with the guidance by CareerGuide. Wish you the best!
