Hello There,

Firstly, your qualification is good enough to help you becoming an associate professor in any college of your choice.

But these days, rules have become stringent. So it would be good if you appear for the NET / SET exam, clear it and then apply to the colleges for lectureship.

But please note, initially you would join as an associate professor only. With experience only will you be given the lecturer position.

Hope this helps.

Wish you good luck...

Hello Mrunall

There are very few Government colleges in each state as many of the colleges have acquired autonomous status. These colleges publish vacancies on the website in ‘career’ section and publish it through newspapers. You can apply for it and appear for interviews.

As Meghna has suggested, you may now join nearby engineering college. Pursuing ME/M.Tech. is highly recommended for growth.

Best wishes

So if you have completed the masters degree and your stream is Electronics and Communication you have a very good opportunity to become a teacher or lecturer in college by qualifying the UGC NET Exam. Prepare for both the phases of UGC NET Paper 1 and paper 2 of this exam and qualify it. After qualifying you will get opportunity to make career in the lectureship.

The eligibility is to complete masters program with 55 % marks and there is no age limit for this.

Hello,

After pursuing B.E., to become a lecturer in India's reputed colleges and institutes, you apply for the CSIR NET Exam which is conducted by the National Testing Agency for five science streams i.e. -

  • Physical Sciences
  • Mathematical Sciences
  • Life Sciences
  • Earth Sciences
  • Chemical Sciences

You are advised to choose the subject which is related to your graduation stream.

Those who qualify the CSIR NET Exam with good rank will get the certificate from the official. After getting this certificate, you can apply for various colleges and institutes for lectureship and junior research fellowship.

Hope it helps!

Hi, Mrunall Sarsar,

You need to Clear NET and PG degree then only you can apply for the same.

Minimum Qualifications Required is NET/SLET.  NET- National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted by UGC (University Grant Commission). The candidate should have a Master's Degree with at least 55% Marks from a recognized University to qualify for this examination. After qualifying for this examination, the candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor. SLET- The candidate should have a Master's Degree with at least 55 % Marks to qualify State Eligibility Test (SLET).

There are a lot of terms and conditions when it comes to the eligibility criteria for any exam. But to sum it up in short, you should fulfill the following criteria to apply for the UGC NET JRF exam as per the official UGC NET Notification 2021.

1) Age Eligibility

Your age should be less than 31 years on the first date of the month in which the UGC NET JRF Exam registration process would be concluded. There is also relaxation in the upper age limit for the UGC NET JRF 2021 exam which can be checked in the UGC NET 2021 Notification.

There is no Age Limit for NET, i.e., Assistant Professorship.

2) Educational Qualification for UGC NET (General)

You should have a Master’s Degree from a University/Institution recognized by UGC with a Minimum of 55% marks (this will be 50% in case of SC/ST/PWD/transgender candidate) or grade.

Eligibility Criteria is a vast topic and has a lot of things to be discussed. For further details, read here the complete UGC NET 2021 Eligibility Criteria.
