This question is meant to measure the depth of your self- esteem. If you answer 10, you run the risk of portraying yourself as superior and flawless. Giving a rating of 10 would also indicate I-KNOW-IT-ALL attitude which could give you a negative score in the interview.
On, the other hand if you say less than 7, you might as well get up and leave. The safer bet is to claim 8 or 9, saying that you always give your best, but that in doing so, you always increase your skills and therefore always see room for improvement.
First give all regards to the interviewer and say that Sir/Madam it is you to judge me because I shall always make my best efforts for the success.However,according to me one cannot say I am the best.I would like to rate myself 9.
