Dear Friend, Mechanical engineering is one of the best core engineering branch. This branch created many stillwarts in to the industry. For Example, The inventor of the Tata Nano car is Mr Girish Wagh from Pune who is Mechanical Engineer by profession. It is dream car for many middle class people even today. This car made Mr. Girish Wagh popular in this field.


The majority of the skill mechanical engineers needs is
1) Accuracy and precision in the work
2) Analytically and Logical thinking skills
3) In deapth study skills which will be useful to go to the root of problem.
4) Understanding the figures and numbers and their trends which is very important in analysis of the data.
5) Quickness: Quickness in taking the decisions and taking the action also.
6) Ready to make hands black i.e. be ready to work on shop floor with bare hands which will give surely good experience for hands on which is very important for mechanical engineers
7) Mechanical Engineer should must know about the application of the product developed and how it will be going to used
8) Mechanical Engineers should be ready to work in shifts. It may be night shift also but as these operations are continuous somebody needs to work in night hours also.
9) Physical fitness is very important to work in Mechanical Engineering.
10) Mechanical engineer should be ready to work under the pressure. This pressure can be work pressure, time pressure, multitasking requirements etc. which ultimately creates the mental pressure.

These are the important qualities / skills mechanical engineer make them successful.
