NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) board is the board of education under the Union Government of India. It was established in 1989. It was opened with the aim of providing education to the students who cannot afford or pay fees for education from CBSE, M.P board, or other boards, and institutions. With the help of this institute, students can get their education from home without going to school.

Under NIOS there is an option of on-demand examination for students. It allows you to give your 10th class and 12th class exam on your own selected dates. You need to choose at least three subjects and a maximum of four subjects. If you have not cleared your class exam then after giving through NIOS you can pass. It gives you chance to pass the exam at your given time.
Transfer of Credit
If you have failed in 10th class or 12th class in one or two subjects, and you want to give the exam in the same month in which your result came. Then you need to take three subjects. And the subject in which you are passed you not need to give that subjects exam. And if you are under the CBSE board then you can pass that passed subject’s marks in the NIOS board. But you need to give some amount to transfer your passed subject’s marks. And you can pass two subject marks from your board to NIOS. Also, your mark sheet should not be older than three years otherwise it will be invalid
