- For Certified Energy Auditors (CEA):

- Post Graduate Engineer (M.E/M. Tech) or “Equivalent” along with TWO YEARS of work experience involving the use of energy in operation, maintenance, planning, etc.
The work experience must be in the field of energy, such as energy management, energy auditing, energy conservation, or a related field. The experience must be gained in a commercial, industrial, or institutional setting.
The experience certificate must be issued by a company or organization that is authorized to issue such certificates. The certificate must be on the company’s or organization’s letterhead and must be signed by an authorized officer.
The experience certificate must also include the following information:
- The name of the company or organization
- The name of the applicant
- The applicant’s job title
- The dates of employment
- A description of the applicant’s duties
