India is gearing up for 5G mobile technology as the Department of Telecommunications has given their approval for 5G trials to Bharti Airtel, Vi, and Reliance Jio. 5G is the fifth generation of wireless, mobile broadband communications and compared to 4G there is a 10 fold increase in data transmission rate. The peak data speed for 5G being 20 Gbps (Gigabits per second). Currently, 5G is available in 61 countries and India is planning to be one of them.

These telecommunication companies have been granted a period of 6 months to do the testing and the 5G spectrum for the trial is yet to be allotted. Chinese vendors are to be excluded from the trial.  Reliance Jio will be developing a home-grown and indigenous 5G network. Airtel also announced that it has successfully tested 5G service over a commercial network in Hyderabad city in partnership with Ericsson.

I Want To Become Good Better Best In Life

This would be a major step by India towards technology and will help us to be in power with developed countries. This new technology will greatly benefit the agriculture, education, health and transportation sectors. For example, Doctors will be able to connect better with their patients and even perform remote operations. It will also help in the infrastructure of the country and as well as the security.

5g Wireless Technology

Due to the large bandwidth, users would be able to visit sites faster and would be able to visit a particular site without overcrowding it. There would also be better connectivity due to Low Network Latency as it would take only a millisecond as a response time.

I believe India is ready for the implementation of 5G technology. A large number of people are working as well as learning from home due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Everything is happening virtually, from learning to court sessions. All these people are greatly depending on the network to do their work. 5G technology will help reduce communication gaps, provide great connectivity and more opportunities to these people. Unlike in 4G where it would take minutes to download/open a heavy file, 5G would be able to download/open it in seconds.

Some cities of India are still not able to use 4G properly. So, telecommunication companies should ensure that there is proper coverage of all geographical areas. The implementation would be beneficial if everyone would be able to get its fruit.

There are concerns regarding health risks due to the high frequency and radiation from 5G mobile phones might be harmful to animals as well as for humans in the long run. Nothing can be said for sure as there is insufficient data for a meaningful health risk assessment. It would be a game-changer for Indian technology if it is implemented successfully.
