SSC CHSL exam will be held in April 2021.It is very popular govt recruitment exam among govt jobs aspirants. Today, I will discuss about the tips and strategies to crack this exam without coaching. Although It is not so tough exam but level of competition is high because millions of aspirants applied for it. The best way to prepare exam is hard work, consistency and right study material. If executive these three things perfectly then you can crack this exam without coaching. Before begin preparation of these things you must know exam pattern, syllabus.
Exam pattern
SSC conduct CHSL exam in three stages that is Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3.
Tier 1: Tier 1 is computer-based exam which contain Maximum marks 200 and 100 question, 2 marks for each correct answer and negative marking 0.5 for each wrong answer
There are four subject’s Quantitative aptitude, General awareness, Reasoning and English, each carry 25 questions. After clearing tier 1 applicants goes to tier 2.
Tier 2: Tier 2 contain descriptive paper exam, in this exam applicants has to write an Essay of 200-250 words and a letter of 150-200 works
Tier 3: It contain Skill/Typing test that is of qualifying nature. The marks of this test not included in final merit list. To qualify typing test, for English candidate require 35 words per minute speed and for Hindi 30 words per minute speed. In Skill test, the candidate required to do data entry speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on computer.
Syllabus
SSC CHSL exam mainly divided into four subject’s Quantitative aptitude, General awareness, Reasoning and English for Tier 1. Essay and letter writing for Tier 2. All of this syllabus is available on SSC website and notification of SSC CHSL also contain it before beginning the preparation candidate must go through it.
Previous exam’s cutoff
Candidate should go through previous exam’s cutoff before starting the preparation. Through you knew about the level of competition and how tough is exam? Accordingly, you begin your preparation.
Strategy for Preparation
Personalized Study Plan: Firsts of all candidate should make a study time table according to his/her choice but follow it regularly because consistency is key to success. You should give adequate time to each subject. Assess your self regularly accordingly make changing in your time table and dedicate more time on weak subjects and topics.
Help books or Reference: Books play important role for any kind of study. Hence, before starting the study you should have minimum required books for preparation. Here are the few books which you can refer for Preparation Rakesh Sir SSC Maths, Lucent GK, Lucent General English and S.chand Reasoning. Make a decent study material and go through it regularly. keep study material as minimum as possible only refer standard books do not hoard lots of study material.
Magazine and Newspaper: For the of General Awareness and English newspaper and magazine are advantageous. General Awareness contain large portion of current affairs through newspaper and magazine you cover it easily. Newspaper also helpful into improve vocabulary, through editorial candidate learn new words and enhance his vocabulary.
Previous Question’s Paper: After completing the syllabus candidate must go through last year questions paper. Through tis you knew about the question and familiar with it. It is also help in test your Preparation.
Test Series: During the preparation after each topic candidate must give test which help in assessment. Though which you find your weak points and also know your level accordingly change your study plan.
Revision: Before the 2 weeks ahead of exam revision is necessary. It helps into recall all the stuffs you learn or memorize during preparation. If something left during preparation you can also prepare it now.
