A Historian is a person who researches, studies and writes about the past, and is regarded as an authority on it. Historians are concerned with the continuous, methodical narrative and research of past events as relating to the human race; as well as the study of all history in time. They research, analyze, record, and interpret the past as recorded in sources, such as government and institutional records, newspapers and other periodicals, photographs, interviews, films, and unpublished manuscripts, such as personal diaries and letters.

Dear Aspirant, With History and Political Science as your subjects for graduation, you can think for two career options: 1. Civil Services Exams 2. Teaching For Civil Services exams, you will have start preparing as early as possible and also getting into a coaching class for the same is also recommended for a proper, guided study and practice. For Teaching career, you need to be a Masters degree holder after which you need to appear for NET/SET exam or do B.Ed.
