How to do B.Tech after completing ITI

After completing ITI, you can pursue B.Tech through the lateral entry scheme. This scheme allows ITI diploma holders to directly enter the second year of the B.Tech program. You must also qualify for the entrance examination conducted by the respective colleges or universities.

The duration of the B.Tech program through lateral entry may vary depending on the college or university, but it generally takes three years to complete. This is because the first year of the B.Tech program focuses on building a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, which ITI diploma holders have already covered. It is important to note that the admission process and eligibility criteria may vary depending on the college or university you wish to apply to. It is recommended that you research the admission process and eligibility criteria of the colleges or universities you are interested in and prepare accordingly.
