Hi Rachit,
These days concept of a manager is not the same like being a boss, but these days managers work hand-in-hand with their subordinates, and makes them feel on par with them. But managers maintain their role of being a trouble shooter.
So firstly change the concept of being a boss, if you wish to be successful as a manager.
As such Management, involves Finance, marketing, retail, HR etc.
When you talk about being a manager, it involves people, so you could choose any of the specializations, you are interested in.
Though as said HR is more closely related to people, but they are not directly connected with the people, but are a part of the team that makes the policies etc.
If you wish to be directly connected with people and manage a team, then choose any of the other specializations.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck..
Dear Friend, kindly be clear whether you wish to be an administrator or you want to be a high-profile designated boss, because to get an admin job you may get a graduation degree followed by a secretarial course but if you have high qualifications and wide experience with extra-ordinary credentials and also good leadership skills, then there is nothing that may stop you getting a leading designation. As you said that you want to pursue your career in management, so you may choose to pursue MBA from any of these institutions - Axis Institute of Technology and Management,Kanpur,.............................DPG Institute of Technology and Management,Gurgaon,............
Dear Aspirant,
Aspiring to become a Boss sounds nice, however is not always practical.
Aim to be a leader and not a boss.
I would suggest that you should first concentrate on getting good qualifications and mastering a subject of your choice. As you gain experience working the field you have chosen, positions of Manager will come to you.
Always remember that every career is good however it is more important to know whether you are suitable for that particular career or no. Good career is an ambition of every person, however you should ensure that you have the right educational qualifications, employability skills and positive attitude.
Please do let me know what education level you are currently in.
Also, I would recommend you to appear for the Ideal Career Test from CareerGuide.com. This psychometric test will ascertain which career option you are suitable for. This test will judge your aptitude, interests, inter personal abilities, etc. After that you can speak to me through this system.
Best wishes
Hello Rachit
Your question reminds me of the following picture that states the difference between a boss and a leader.
I hope what you mean is you would like to lead a team. AS you wish to pursue career in management field, you shall opt for MBA course. You can also climb the ladder by joining a company after graduation and later pursuing post graduation in the same stream or by pursuing executive MBA course.
When it comes to managing people, it’s more about teamwork and communication. Keep an attitude towards learning these soft skills and it will be helpful for you in growth.
All the best
