First of all, I appreciate you that you are planning for your career on 10th class because this time is very good time to plan for career. As per your questions, you are facing dilemma between non medical and commerce, you also confused whether you should opt technology or Commerce stream.

Now I want to suggest you that before opting any stream or making career, you should always take care of three aspects of yourself : Your interest, your aptitude and your resources. If you have consistency among these three aspects about yourself , you can plan accordingly. If you like to work with machines and interested in technology , you have aptitude in technology and you have enough resources for this. Definitely you go for technology, if you think about chemistry will be there in stream of technology. Definitely you have to study Chemistry as a subject on the 10+2 level but In Graduation B.Tech, hardly you will have Chemistry as a subject. If you go for B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical, Chemistry will not be there as a subject but before reaching in graduation, you have to study Chemistry in 10+2 level. When you think and feel that Chemistry is necessary for your Career . Definitely you can easily take interest in Chemistry , beside this i want to inform you that in chemistry, there is a big portion of numerical, which is very similar to Mathematics.

If you like to work with numbers and you have interested in world economy, Indian economy and commerce, you can opt commerce but before opting commerce you can go through aptitude test. If you have good aptitude in Commerce stream and Interest as well. Definitely you opt commerce stream.
