It is justified that you have no advance knowledge of different Career options; it is better to grow with different options while you are studying-this is called Vocational Guidance-you need to be within this environment for the time being before selecting final one-How it is possible? -better spend a few minutes with someone who have expertise in Career Guidance either in mail or over phone once in a week-after the discussion go through the subject surfing net and observing related professional persons.Career is one's future identity- but change of career is also natural after someday-but person should take the responsibility of his /her approach-you are commerce student-you can choose any subject that is related to accounting, finance, management, entrepreneurship, law, tax, business analysis etc.
Anyway in addition to that you also need to know which subject will go with your own personality profile -this is also a vital part of career selection.
Hope you have now cleared the 12 exams.
Do you mean Hotel Management diploma? IHM? I think since you are a commerce student, I would suggest you to rethink on this option.
To be best sure of what suits you for your career, I would suggest you to undergo a psychometric test from CareerGuide.com which will help you understand yourself in respect of your strengths, weaknesses, emotional quotient, etc. and will exactly tell you which stream is good for you.

Here I see you have made a choice of studying Hotel Management.
A choice is generally made based on research done on the topic or people influencing you. May be fiends or family. But the choice of a career must be purely based on personal interests and liking rather than peoples influence. At the same time, a little research pertaining to that career needs to be made.
I am highly impressed that at this stage, where students are confused about their career choice, you have though not sure, but have at-least shortlisted one career.
Only thing that upsets me is that why are you not sure if it is the right career for you????
I am sure that based on some aspects you have chosen this career, so just rely on those potentials and go forward.
I do understand that looking at the variety of courses available and influence of friends, media and other factors make students uncertain, but sometimes one needs to believe in their potentials and take a lead.
Since you have just done with your 12th and still there is time for admission to hotel management, I would advise you to study this field a little more, either through the net or go meet students in the college and get an idea what this field is all about, know what qualities are required.Nest would be to do a self introspection, and be honest to yourself about your traits that would help you and traits you need to develop. This will help you make a decision.
In-case confusion persists, meet a counselor and get this sorted.
But I am sure, no confusion should exists, knowing or doing a self introspection.
Wish you all the very best............
