Before I answer your question, hope you are aware of the work of a PR Executive.
PR executives are the face of a product between the common man and the owner. They are the ones who help masses being educated about the product.
Either they create advertisements with jingles or tag lines or they create advertisements with a very known or a popular face to influence the public.
Thus the activities a PR needs to follow on a day to day basis includes:
1. Manage database: Since they are responsible for bringing a spokesperson for the company product, they need to maintain database. 2. Brainstorm: Since they need to reach public through various modes of media, this cannot be done only by the PR person. Also he needs to know in-detail about the product. So a brainstorm with other team members and the production department is a must 3. Research: A very important task of a PR person. Before reaching the masses, he needs to know who would be his target audience and their thinking and beliefs. So a research is a must. Sometimes this can be in terms of survey or interviewing people or on the basis of which site is visited the most, a poll etc. 4. Communicate and Convince: Just generating ideas or maintaining a database would not help. He needs to speak it out and discuss with the team members. Also just selecting a person is not enough. The person must be agreeable too. So he needs to contact that person and try and convince him how he being the promoter would help the product. As well as arrange for a meeting at the premises. 5. Scripting: Just verbalizing will not help. He needs to have the script ready 6. Presentation: He needs to present his ideas to the team members. Just scripting will not work. Team members needs to visually see the effect of a particular advertisement before it is created. 7. Negotiate: This is the major tasks of a PR executive. Making a high rate advertisement will not be much profitable to the company. So not only convincing the team members for a certain investment, but also convincing the popular person to work on his rate and at the same time, negotiating with investors is a major task
