In West Bengal, the HS exam is conducted by the West Bengal Committee of Higher Auxiliary Instruction (WBCHSE). The WBCHSE HS exam 2024 will be held from February 16 to 29, 2024. The exam will be held in two shifts, morning and evening. The morning move exams will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM, and the evening move exams will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:15 PM.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for appearing for the West Bengal Higher Secondary (HS) Examination 2024 are as follows:

  • The candidate must be a regular student of class 12 of an institution affiliated to the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE).
  • The candidate must have passed the class 11 annual examination with at least 70% attendance.
  • The candidate must have passed the WBCHSE class 12 test or selection examination with at least 30% marks.
  • The candidate must have paid the examination fees.

The age limit for appearing for the HS Examination is 17 years as on 1st August 2023. However, there is a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
