Hi,

This is absolutely true and you are not the only student who faces this confusion but there are many more like you.
It is true that in most of the Universities Psychology is taught as a science subject and in some it is taught as a humanities subject. There are my subjects like these like Economics, maths etc that are studied both as humanities and Science subjects.
There is no difference in the two course and they are almost the same the only difference between the two is that one give emphasis to theory and the other to practical.
So you need not worry and apply for your graduation in Psychology in whichever you want.
The eligibility criterion to do graduation in Psychology is only passed in 10+2 with minimum 45-50% marks depending on the university criteria in any stream.
The criteria for selection in each university are different like some conduct an entrance test and then the interview where as in some universities there is only a merit base selection criterion. So you can see and apply accordingly.

Good Luck!

Good question and while choosing a course, if there is a same course offered in two different terminologies can be quite confuysing which one to choose.

Please note here, that Psychology is a subject which deals with mental health sciences.
Not only are we involved into counseling the issues, but also into understanding how the mind functions in such circumstances,
It is completely a mind game.

Now mind is a subjkect which generally involves neurons and other scientific terminology. Apart from it we also sometimes need to know how the persons other body functions are reacting to his disorder.
Here is where scince steps up.

Even if we study Psychology, a little idea about Science is required in terms of neurology and other bodily functions.

Thus when you study either a BA or a B.Sc in Psychology,k please note that in both you would be studying Psychology in relations to scientific applications. But B.Sc is definhitely more scientific oriented. It would involve subjectrs related to neurology and physiology and biology.
Whereas a BA would have more of mind related behavioural topics.

The only advantage of pursuing a B.Sc program is when it comes to selection of a specialization at the mastrs level.
You have 2 more options other than the regular ones like Clinical, Counseling, Industrial. You could opt for Criminal Psychology or Forensic Psychology.

The value for both the degrees in the market is the same though.Since both the degrees focus more on therapies and interventions and assessments.
So now the choice is yours.
