500+ Career Options
1M+ Test Taken
Hi Riya,
Firstly get your choices right. Where exactly your interest lies. Since English and Economics are two different subjects and they have no common grounds at all. Secondly, decide on the majors now itself, since if you wish to pursue a masters degree in a particular subject, at the graduate level, you should have studied all 6 papers of that subject only. DO check the masters criteria at DU before handed only.
If you are interested in English, then why do you wish to study economics?
It would be good if you could get a career counseling test done to know where exactly your aptitude lies and your ability. This will help you make a choice.
Also note that to pursue Economics, you need to have a strong background of Math and statistics. As economics deals more with statistics and financial matters.
So get yourself clear what you wish to do and then make a choice.
Wish you good luck..
Dear Aspirant,
English and Economics are way apart career options and you have to ascertain your real interests before you choose one of them.
To remove confusion, you will have to think of the life time scope of a particular subject or career option and then select. Also it is important to ascertain your innate capabilities, aptitude, interest, inter personal abilities in order to choose accurately what career suits you.
Economics is a good career option and has tremendous scope. English on the other hand also has good scope and can combine it with Journalism, Foreign languages, mass communication courses for a better career.
I feel you should take the Ideal Career Test from careerguide before deciding anything. This psychometric test will enable you to know your real interests and which career option you are more suitable for.
Best wishes
