CA

Auditing, taxation, financial, and general management are all areas of business and finance where chartered accountants work. In India license for practicing CA is given by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

CA AFTER GRADUATION IN INDIA

Earlier the one who aspired to make a career in CA was supposed to start from the 12th with the CPT exam but now the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has introduced the Direct Entry schemes for the students who aspire to make a career in CA after the Graduation. The Direct Entry Scheme is a scheme in which a student who has completed Graduation do not need to give a CPT exam can appear for Integrated Professional Competency Course (IPCC).

ELIGIBILITY

Whereas there are prescribed Eligibility Criteria for the Direct Entry Scheme as follows.

 

1. A student who have Graduated or Post Graduated in Commerce and have secured in aggregate a minimum of 55% of the total marks or its equivalent conducted by the recognized university including open university by studying any three papers of 100 marks each out of which Accounting, Auditing, Mercantile Laws, Economics, Corporate Laws, Management, taxation, Costing, Business Administration, Management Accounting.

2. A Graduate or Post Graduate falling under the commerce stream mentioned above has secured in aggregate a minimum 60% or its equivalent from the recognized university including open university.

A final year student of the Graduation can also apply for the Direct Entry Scheme.

Articleship

The least time required to pursue CA after graduation is three years, as you can sit IPCC examinations after nine months of registration, and then complete 2.5-3 years of articleship to become a Chartered Accountant.

After getting into the CA course through the Direct Entry Scheme one has to appear for the IPCC GROUP I &II. Than an Article Ship of 3 years along with 100hours IT Training and Orientation Course. On successful completion of all these things, one can go for CA FINAL GROUP I & II.

On successfully cracking the CA Final Exam one becomes the certified Chartered Accountant.

Approx 20000-30000 for completing ca after graduation it includes everything you will need for doing it .

Duration of completing CA after Graduation

The duration of the two CA certification routes differs, i.e.

A student who wants to pursue the CA course after class XIIth must take the CPT route, which takes a minimum of 4.5 years to complete.

The Direct Entry method will take a minimum of three years for a candidate who wants to become a CA after graduation.

Furthermore, there is no set time limit for the maximum duration because the ICAI has removed the number of attempts as well as the age limit.
