Chartered Accountant is one of the prestigious career option and preferred by many students as top most career option. The students who aspire to make a career in the field of commerce they mostly opt for the Chartered Accountant. Every year their is a huge requirement of Certified Chartered Accountants.
Earlier the one who aspired to make a career in CA was supposed to start from the 12th with the CPT exam but now the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) have introduced the Direct Entry schemes for the students who aspires to make a career in CA after the Graduation. The Direct Entry Scheme is a scheme in which a student who has completed the Graduation do not need to give a CPT exam can appear for Integrated Professional Competency Course (IPCC).
Whereas their are prescribed Eligibility Criteria for the Direct Entry Scheme as follows.
1.A student who have Graduated or Post Graduated in Commerce and have secured in aggregate a minimum of 55% of the total marks or its equivalent conducted by the recognised university including open university by studying any three papers of 100 marks each out of which Accounting,Auditing,Mercantile Laws,Economics,Corporate Laws,Management,taxation,Costing,Business Administration,Management Accounting.
2. A Graduate or Post Graduate falling under commerce stream mentioned above have secured in aggregate minimum 60% or its equivalent from the recognized university including open university.
A final year student of the Graduation can also apply for the Direct Entry Scheme. After getting into the CA course through Direct Entry Scheme one has to appear for the IPCC GROUP I &II. Then an Article Ship of 3 years along with 100hours IT Training and Orientation Course. On successful completion of all these things one can go for CA FINAL GROUP I & II.
On successfully cracking the CA Final Exam one becomes the certified Chartered Accountant.
