Nice to know your dream and such dream is of almost every IT candidate while passing out of the course or while in the first job. But making careers is not simple and not a bed of roses.

I am happy that you wish to take efforts to achieve the 25 lakhs salary per annum and therefore I would definitely guide you.

As far as the IT industry goes, it is highly dependent on foreign countries, since majority of the IT projects are outsourced one from other countries to India.

To rise in career, you need to be a capable person in terms of knowledge, skills and experience. Within 5 years you may be able to earn that much salary based on what type of job roles you take, what responsibilities you take, how you engage with people, how you show the leadership skills and how you enrich yourself by learning and unlearning. So you will have to keep a watch and choose wisely on the above aspects right from the first job.

Soft skills, project management skills will help you take growth in the job.

But one thing I would like to add here is that though IT industry is a money minting profession, I would suggest stress more on job roles and progress than just being in the profession and earning soon and then getting bored too. Another important aspect is proper qualification from a reputed institute, keeping yourself uodated with the latest technology and working in a reputed well known organization providing work knowledge.

Stretch your potentials and or limits and keep a lengthier deadline so that you can achieve it over a period of time.

And at the same time I agree with Dr, the above counselor, as he rightly said, work on your soft skills and project management skills, money would automatically follow.
