NDA full form is the National defense academy. It is an academy based in Pune that educates students for the Indian Armed Forces i.e. Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. NDA selection Process
Apart from the NDA full form students should also know about the selection process. There are two stages to the NDA selection procedure: the written test and the SSB interview. Each test will have its marking scheme and set of rules to follow.
Written Test
The NDA written exam consists of two parts. The first paper will cover mathematics, while the second will cover the General Ability Test. The math paper has a total of 300 marks and 120 problems. Paper 2, the general ability paper, has 600 marks and 150 questions, including 50 questions equal to 200 marks in English and 100 questions equal to 400 marks in general knowledge. It will consist of objective-type questions.
Both papers’ question booklets will be bilingual, with English and Hindi versions. In Mathematics, a correct answer will earn you 2.5 marks, while incorrect responses will cost you 0.33 marks. In the General Ability Test, a correct answer will get you 4 marks, while incorrect answers will cost you 0.33 marks. A scribe will not be permitted to help them write their answers. It is required of a candidate to write his or her papers. Answering objective-type papers with a calculator or a Mathematical or Logarithmic table is forbidden.
SSB Interview
SSB Test or Interview consists of 900 Marks and it is a very hard stage to pass. It consists of a Screening test, Physiological test, Group discussion Personal interview, and Conference test. The Intelligence and Personality Test will be administered by the Services Selection Board (SSB) for final selection. The method is broken down into two parts.

This stage includes Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) assessments and Picture Perception and Description Tests (PP & DT). If you are shortlisted, your results in the OIR Test and the Picture Perception & Description Test will be combined.
Interviews, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and the Conference are all part of Stage II. These tests will take place over four days. Three distinct officers will evaluate your personality: the Interviewing Officer (IO), the Group Testing Officer (GTO), and the Psychologist. All of the tests will be equally weighted. The board will provide marks based on the three tests’ initial performance.
Medical Test:-
A medical test takes place after a qualifying SSB interview. In the medical test, the whole body, eyes, ears, teeth, etc. are examined. The candidates who are selected after being medically fit are sent for training at the National Defense Academy located at Khadakwasla, Pune, which is of three years. After that, the candidate is selected based on their choice and performance as an officer in the Navy, Airforce, and Army.

Paper 2 – General Ability Test
English – 200 Marks
This examination will be used to assess your English language knowledge and comprehension. Grammar and usage, vocabulary, understanding, and cohesiveness are some of the themes that will be covered in the exam.
General Knowledge – 400 Marks
