Thank you for choosing Mera career guide and writing to us. I understand your confusion as it is normal for most of the students to experience it. But I am glad that you want to clarify your question and you have approached Mera career guide. Do not worry, I can certainly guide you on this today.May I ask you do you have any thought of as what to become in future? Do you want to be an Engineer? Doctor? Lawyer? Computer Engineer? Economist? Manager? Fashion designer? Have you got any thought how many of professions like these exist in India? To help you narrowly, I can base my answer in two ways.

1. First I would like to take a personality test. There is a personality test available on this Mera career guide website and did you notice it? Can you please spare a few minutes and take that test? It will help you to understand and analyse your own strengths and abilities. After the test, you will have a good idea on what sort of aptitudes you possess.

2. Next choose streams in your 11th and 12th accordingly. There are three major streams that students pick in their 11th and 12th standard in India.
  • First stream is the science stream. You will study Biology (Botany, Zoology); Physics, Chemistry and Maths as your major subjects here. It is mainly focused on students who want to study MBBS, BDS, and other science degrees like Biotechnology, Microbiology, Physics, Chemistry, Molecular biology, Bio chemistry and so on. As you are choosing Maths, you can also aim to study BSc Maths or statistics.
  • Next is the computer science stream. Students study in this stream only to become Computer Engineers in future. They aspire working for IT sector that involves IBM, TCS, WIPRO, CTS and Infosys as Software engineers. If you want a career in computer programming, coding, testing; then you can choose computer science stream.
  • Lastly Economics, Accounts, Commerce, Business maths comes. If you are good with Maths, you can choose this stream. Studying in this stream you can pursue BA Economics, Bachelor of Commerce and so on. After your Bachelors, you can consider doing a CA (Chartered Accountant) or MCom or MA Economics.
  • If you are still unsure what interests you, you can think of your 10th standard scores. In which subject did you score high in 10th and which subject you liked the most in 10th? See if that subject falls in stream 1 or 2 or 3. Then understand the subject stream and select the stream accordingly. Its simple as that. If you want to study in a relaxed way, you can ignore the first stream 'Biology'. It is mainly for students aiming to become Doctors. If you have interest in English, you can choose the third stream and then join a college for BA English. You should check yourself what subject you like as of now, and with this subject what could you be in future. I am sure you could do this self analysis and please don't forget to use the personality test on this site. It will be of a great help to you. All the very best. You are sure to fly with colours.

Dear aspirants, I would like appreciate you because you are planning your career on very right stage. If you plan your career in right direction on this stage, definately you will get success in your life. As we know hard work play key role in our success but planning is not good, hard work will not be worth. So i would like to suggest you that plan everythin in your life right time for getting success in life.

As per your question, you are confused about stream. what to choose? Simple thing I want to share with you that when you are going plan and choose stream or career, you must keep three things in your mind. one is your own Interest, your own apptitude and ypur own resources. For knowing your Aptitude and Interest , you can take help for assesment of your aptitude and interest. After knowing your Interest, aptitude and resources, you can choose career ore stream. for example, if your interest in Science and Maths and you have similar aptitude like you have good logical and reasoning power and Mathematical aptitude, you choose Science without hesitation. If you have Interest in Science but you do not have Science and Maths like aptitude logical power , reasoning an Mathematical ability, so you should not go for opting Science amd Maths.

So again I would like to suggest you that always go with your interest, and aptitude.

Good Luck!
